In this mixed media original artwork, I am exploring different ways to create an art piece that is a true reflection of my general nature. I'm an all or nothing type of person. Playing around with multiple materials in the background allowed me to have a load of fun, play and express myself. I fought with myself mentally throughout this piece and that is why I called it "On the Otherside" because on the other side of my resistance and fear came a beautiful owl which taught me I can be free and play yet refine it to something I'm proud of. Owls represent many things to many different cultures some of these are wisdom, foresight, intelligence, protection and intuition.
