"Uncharted territory." The themes that inspire me whilst creating these art pieces is always the same freedom, self expression and play are at the forefront of my mind whilst creating my artwork. The imagery I use is things I have enjoyed looking at during my life experience partnered with an emotional response I feel, have overcome or are still in the process of overcoming.
The title Uncharted territory came to mind after completing this piece. I wrote " In order to go somewhere you have never been, you must be prepared to do something you have never done" The words just have fun in the background influenced the dolphins in the foreground. Dolphins are notoriously playful, and live in pods with dozens of dolphins. Their playful nature and amazing ability to glide through water represents joy, happiness, companionship and freedom. Togetherness, companionship, friendship are such beautiful values and qualities they combine to serve greater strengths, communicators, thinkers problem solvers and we learn to work together.
