Sometimes strength doesn’t look like feeling strong.

Sometimes it’s simply finding a way to keep moving when life has knocked the wind out of you.

Resilience came from a time when I was learning what that meant for myself. Painting became somewhere I could put what I couldn’t always make sense of, and the lion felt like the perfect symbol — grounded, powerful and still standing.

He isn’t about pretending the hard stuff doesn’t affect us.

He’s about discovering that even when it does, there’s still something within us that keeps going.

And apparently, in my world, resilience can also be gloriously green.
